An efficient design for your electricity distribution network thanks to 3.EI.lite software with Siemens database

Designing an installation means ascertaining the apparent power for the various usage levels, known as “transverse dimensioning”.

In contrast, “longitudinal dimensioning” takes account of certain factors such as operating current, voltage drop, maximum and minimum short-circuit current, indirect contact potential, selectivity of the different protection systems, etc.
The response by each element (protections, cables, etc.) in operation is examined carefully in conformity with the prevailing legislation.
Following the calculation, the software offers you the following results:
  • voltage drop in operation and at startup
  • thermal and dynamic verification of the cables
  • maximum short-circuit current (single- and three-phase)
  • minimum short-circuit current
  • indirect contact potential
  • maximum duration and limit value of the hold time
  • cross-section of PE/N safety conductor, fault current
  • partial and full selectivity of the protections, reproduction of the curves (5000 calculated points)
  • limited short-circuit current
  • main and additional equipotential connections

  • 3.EI.lite with Siemens-database ensures that electrical installations can be calculated in conformity with the Belgian standard (AREI/RGIE), French standard (NF), International standard (IEC) or German standard (VDE 0100).
The software + results are available in four languages: NL, FR, ENG and DE.
Facilities for printing out on paper and for exporting in MS Excel format:
  • certification and conformity list
  • single-wire diagrams, thanks to integrated drawing software
  • cable lengths and cable ends
  • RI2 losses from the electrical cables
  • list of safety equipment
  • list of safety settings
  • principal figures from the results
